What is pilates?
Pilates is a gentle yet challenging full body exercise discipline focusing on core strength. It creates efficient movement patterns and produces correct muscle recruitment which serves to protect the spine and prevent injury.
With the focus on stability, precision, flow of movement and syncopated breathing patterns, Pilates aids the practitioner in creating a deep sense of body awareness and control.

Meet our Founder
Pilates At Home was founded by Candice Rinkwest, a passionate BASI Certified Pilates Instructor and practitioner. After teaching at a number of Pilates studios and gyms over the years, she decided to teach independently as she began to see an increasing need and demand for private Pilates classes at home for rehabilitating post-surgery, pregnant and elderly clients who were unable to travel out to a studio.
This opportunity challenged her to bring all her knowledge, skills and passions together. Having spent 8 years in the corporate world with experience in business administration and IT support, a keen interest in web-design, and entrepreneurial flair she combined her strengths and experience to create Pilates At Home.
